Thanks in advance to everyone for your response.

Agreed with scorpion82....August will be peak monsoon in Sikkim, and you won't be able to enjoy much. I'd suggest that you better plan for Kerala (although I am not sure how good/bad it is in Kerala when it rains).
Thanks all for your reply... I have confirmed Kerala and now am doing some research on places to visit. Will shortly prepare tour plan and post for all to give suggestions.
Thanks once again.

Let me know your thought on it so that I can go ahead and do the adjustments accordingly....

Like you i was in 2 minds to visit kerala or kashmir (in your case sikkim) around 20th of august 2012.I was advised by some IMers that Kerala will be very hot and humid in August.Have you considered this factor?
So i have not made up my mind on Kerala yet because of the heat & humidity factor.I will be visiting from Dubai with my wife and 6 years old kid.

Thank you in advance.

Overall Kerala will be hot but not as in April May as monsoons would have started... One more thing if you visit munnar, thekkady it's hill stations so definitely it will be cool....
