kerala may/june
heading to kerala for all of may/june....i realize it will be hot. anyone who lives there or has spent a summer there.....please break it down for me. i am going to school for two months 9am to 5pm......will i survive???

You need to worry more about the rains in June. They promptly start in the first week and can be quite a messy affair. Take an umbrella for the trip as the May month shall be quite hot and steamy at those humidity levels. (hey you can pick up one very cheap there)
Coming from Japan, I think you should get a few shorts and cotton sleeveless Tees.

it has already started raining here in Cochin. but there will be another month of sunshine and then the real rains will hit. Starting from around mid May untill first week of August.

dont worry of hot climate... worry about rain.... bring jackets.... so that you can explore the beauty of kerala monsoon.. bet.. ur trip will be washed in rain.. you will not be having nothting much to do other than.. watchin.. thundersa dn lightining.. and heavy showers.. but believe me.. that is a pretty site to seee..........

Incredible thunder and lightening though really inspiring ... The beach at Varkala vanishes in the monsoon due to the nature of the tides and the surge in the ocean at this time of year Bryan

i am in kerala...i have been here since april 22....it is lovely.
the monsoon has begun! i know it will rain a lot more after the first week of june.... all is good .... i am loving it: heat, humidity, rain and all. thanks for all your replies!! |
