Question kerala in Mid september

hi guys,
Me and my wife are planning on going to south India with our 1.7 years old boy. We would like to see Hampi and some of Kerala and spend some time on the beach (goa ?). Were concerned that the weather would be a problem for us as with a kid we are less flexible.
i would like to get suggestions on alternate options for mid September till end of October considering the weather issue.
Thanks
Sharon

Hello and welcome to IM.

Will this be your first time to India ?

The weather should be OK at time you are going.

You will be able to experience same beach scene in
Kerala to that of Goa.I also suggest you save Hampi for another time and fly in and out of Kerala

Beach places in Kerala are Kovalam(Trivandrum) -
Varkalha and Cherrai Beach (Cochin area).

With the amount of time you have mentioned you
should be able to have a good relaxing time in
Kerala.

vandy, thanks for your reply.
actually this will be my 4th time in India, but my first time with my wife and 1.7 years old son.
Hampi has been long a desired destination for me, but i never got to it...
do you know if the beaches you mentioned in Kerala are popular with families?

thanks

Hi sholzer,

4th time to India, Thats great.

Yes the beaches are OK for Families.

As far as I am aware, Hampi is fairly easily reached from Goa via Hospet.

After you finish in Kerala, you could take O'Night train to Goa,spend some time in Goa and head for Hampi.I suppose it depends where you enter
India and where you want to leave from.

If you enter say, in Mumbai, you could do Goa & Hampi first, then Kerala and return home from either
Cochin or Trivandrum, without having to back track
to Mumbai, which will save you time & Money.

If you finish at Hampi you may also be able to depart India from Bangalore.
