Hello EliYou can try at ktdc.com and keralatourism.org where they have a message board facility. You can post your itinerary there and within 2 days you will get lots of quotes and itineraries from local reputed travel agents and tour operators. We are also planning a trip to Thekkady and Munnar in the latter part of May and have got some value for money quotations through that site. Still in the process of finalising our trip. Travelling alone in the South is usually quite safe for a woman. However as a general precaution, avoid overnight journeys alone, and dress modestly so as not to invite unwanted attention. Also, if alone, do not stay in very very cheap hotels. KTDC hotels and motels [quite cheap] will be safe. The most reputed Ayurvedic centres are in the Palghat area, try Kottakal Aryavaidya shala or similar if you want it for therapeutic purposes. If you just want an Ayurvedic spa there are plenty of resorts all over Kerala.
