I would write a report but I don't know if any one cares about what we did on holiday : I kept a diary of what we did each day and my thoughts, but it's rather long. I was thinking of writing it up online, but I'm not sure.
You should write about your trip HTID. Anyone who finds it boring will simply stop reading, so dont worry about it. But there is so much to learn from other travellers experiences. I got a lot of valuable input which helped plan our Kerala trip. I would never have bothered to explore the wonderful Maraiyur area if I hadnt read about Vandy and Kalbarris experiences. And so on.

My trip report is also going to take a few more days to complete and it is very long indeed !

Yes, trip reports & fresh insights are always very welcome, and will be most helpful and inspiring to those who plan to come after you, or just want to do some armchair traveling Consider devoting a new thread to it, so it won't disappear in the blur of this one.

If you have any hotel comments, you are very welcome to add them to the Hotels section too.

Good idea to create a new thread.

Ive posted hotel reviews for the 3 places we were in: Periyar House, Siena Village and the best of the lot - the unknown and underrated Maria International at Kothamangalam which was a last minute substitute for the full up Birds Lagoon, but which turned out to be probably the best hotel experience we have ever had, a place where we were made to feel like honoured guests throughout our stay, thanks to Mr Joy, the GM. I will always use the Maria as my base for future visits to Thattekadu Sanctuary, which by the way is also under rated and deserves much better publicity. Will post my trip experiences when it is ready, no time now.

Shame, if we'd had time I'd have loved to go to Thettekadu! Maybe next time eh.
