Kerala- 27 th -31 December

Hi all,

I know i will be heading during the peak time i do not have much information though i have visited Kerala before in the month of March in 2007.
I have roughly prepared the itinerary i know this is too much //can you suggest bugget accomodation and other possibility//has anyone experienced village stays is it possible around trissur//palakkad//if yes can you give me more details .

25 dec -departure delhi
27 th -11 am arrival at trivandrum.(afternoon sight seeing around Trivandrum)or go to kovalam (spend half day at the beach )and return to trivandrum (hotel ??)
28 th-Kanyakumari day trip -back to Trivandrum.
29th-go to kovalam beach (Stay trivandrum//or stay at kovalam not decided as it might be crowded)//we can start to kollam on this day
30th-to kollam(travel to alleppy via local water transport then to kottayam) If anyone has idea about the ferry departure times .
kottayam to Trissur have to chk if trains avail late evening
31-stay in village(have not yet finalised)
1jan-train to delhi at 5 pm arrvl delhi 3rd jan at 2200 hrs
