Itenary Request 4nights 5days

HI

I wish to go for a vacation with family.
My plan is to visit Munnar, Thekkady and Kumarakom(houseboat)
It will be great if the experienc members can suggest me an itenary for the same.
day 1 early morning aluva to munnar stay munnar overnight
day 2 evening travel to thekkady stay overnight thekkady
day3 morning sightseeing stay thekkady
day4 morning to kumarakom checking houseboat, stay overnight
day5 at cochin

i also wish to know how to arrange the transportation. I ma from kerala working abroad. So which will be the easiest option and how will eb the charges for a 4 members goup staying in decent accomodation

could you plz give suggestions on the itenary.....

Hi there & Welcome to IM,

Your Itinery is good except you will miss some excellent scenery
if you travel to Thekady in Evening.Maybe if you left Munnar around 1-2pm,Munnar to Thekady is approx 4-5 hrs travel.

Since there are 4 of you I suggest a car something like a Qallis
or Innova type vehicle.Cost would be approx 2000 - 2,500rps per day, maybe 3000rps tops.

Eventhough I did not stay there, I was very Impressed with the
Ambadi Hotel, lovely rooms,well priced, and very good restn't.

In Munnar itself try Munnar Inn, centrally located in town and good clean rooms at a reasonable price.

Good plan, but my suggestion is you try to stay 2 nights in munnar and one in thekady. there are many interesting places to see in munnar which requires 2 days.

I had been to munnar last week and stayed at bell mount resort, its a new hotel and very good. its 5 min by rickshaw from the town.
