Is September a good time to visit Kerala?
Hi all,
We are planning to visit Kerala this September for about a week(Cochin, Kumarakom and Munnar). Is it a good time to visit Kerala?
- Is September considered "high" season?
- Any seasonal gourmet recommendations at this time of the year?(Vegetarian please)
- We want to get to Madurai from Munnar. What are the available transport options between them?
Replies appreciated.

Hi there,
Sept is fine, the monsoon SHOULD be over by then, however the
monsoon has been very late this year, still yet to arrive from
what I have heard.
Sept is not the "High" Season.
To get to Madurai from Munnar you will need to take Bus or Hire
a Car & Driver.There is a direct road,Highway 49 that goes from
Munnar to Madurai via Teni.
Whilst in Munnar try Rapsy Restaraunt, excellent value. There is also a good restaraunt in Munnar Inn(downstairs) and also a big
outdoor restaraunt across the road from Munnar Inn.
Rapsy Restn't is in a little shopping mall.
BTW, I'll be in Bangalore in Oct for Test Cricket, can you reccomend a good mid priced restaraunt there.
Happy Travelling

Thanks Vandy for the information. It was very helpful.
In Bangalore, Church street has couple of nice restaurants. This link has lists of Restaurants around Stadium/Brigade/MG Road area (http://www.karnataka.com/burp/bangal...staurant.html). Hope this helps.
