Is cochin open on sunday?

coming to cochin around christmas.
as per my current itinerary, i have return tickets for saturday.
i was keen on staying the next day as well i.e sunday.

Now, is cochin open on sundays ? i mean the shopping areas like MG Road, marine drive, broadway etc etc

or any specific advice regarding sunday would be appreciated

I say 50%. They surely open late, but more shops may be open on M.G. Road than Broadway. Marine Drive should be okay.

can any localite provide me with the precise information.

Also in cochin, can one access to any shipyards or navalbase or vessels or any such thing open for public?

how about the custom notified shops or shops selling imported goods on MG road, marine drive etc etc.
if somebody could throw some light on these shops in terms of their realiblity, price & range?

You can visit the shipyard. When you go there they will issue you special passes for that. once in shipyard you can request the captain of any ship for access to his ship, he can permit you if he wants. No cameras allowed inside shipyard and will have to be deposited at the gate.
