Hotel rates in August
Hotel rates in August
I am planning a trip with my wife in mid august and intend to stay at the zuri kumarakom.....would like to understand if it is better to book the hotel now itself.
i am assuming that it would be off season in august due to the rains and will probably get better rates if i go to the hotel directly.
Pls let me know on this.
thanks

Yes, it would be off season and hotels will be offering their best offers.
In my opinion their rate should not go beyond Rs. 7000 including taxes and breakfast

Hi Murali, time around the Nehru trophy snakeboat race which is on 11 August
would have slight crowd coming to the backwaters
otherwise it is an offseason and time for some great discounts
mail them directly and they have a toll free number as well
i assume they have some 2 nights package
check the availability and rates before going there

a couple of days before and after the event, usually have some crown amidst this off season period , but i dont think it last till the 15th and 16th it is mostly the accommodation at the midrange and budget hotels that have the majority of the crowd , lesser at higher end properties .

Kochi is the new name. Cochin is the older British name. Ernakulam - don't know where or how it came to be.
All 3 above refer to the same place.
Trivandrum or Thiruvanathapuram is the Capital of Kerala. Its not Kochi, if you still have a doubt.

yeah! that should be the offseason rates , i dont know if it really goes below 7000 anytimebut good to compage it with rates on site like makemytrip, cleartrip, agoda.co.in, booking.com etc where the rates ( if this property is listed in any of them) might be lesser than what the hotel usually quote
please check that as well.!
