| Honeymoon in Kerala Very good idea to honeymoon in Kerala. I think the price you have been quoted is good. The houseboats are expensive. Most of the cost will be for that. Another good area for a honeymoon is Edakkad Beach Houses in Kannur North Kerala. The Beach House there and the River House there are both in iddylic surroundings. They are close to the famous Drive-in Beach of Muzhappilangad. Nearest railway stations Cannanore and Telicherry. Enjoy your trip and Happy Marriage! |

| thanks guys for all your replies. the thing which worries me is that the package includes all the meals for two days too, which makes me a little doubtful about them. are the ATDC guys reliable? |

| Hi, Can you please us know at what time you will be reaching alleppey? If you are reaching in the morning say around 9 or 10 then you can directly go to Jetty (place where all the houseboats are anchored) and then see the boats and then make a rate with the owner.A single bedroom boat A/C boat, you can get in something around 4000 -5500 Rs with all the meals on the boat. Next day you can have a stay at some hotel which can be found easily and can be something around 1500 -2000 for delux AC. So you can save something this way. Regards |

| Honeymoon Hi Phoebus, This looks like a decent price; you may be able to save a few Rupees by organising the boat trip yourself in the morning but as you are on honeymoon I think you are taking the right option and avoiding the hassle and risk of leaving it to when you arrive! We went on a houseboat in November, it was really good - the food will be amazing and it is great to just sit back and relax and watch as the Kerala backwaters go by... have a great trip!
