Honeymoon in Kerala
We will be going to Kerala for our honeymoon during end Jan/early Feb.
After having surfed through numerous websites...we're still confused..probably coz we want to make the most of it. We have abot 7-10 days to spend...yet dont want to squueze in too much to make it rushed. 1)Anyone has suggestions for a itinery? 2)Should we mix up the beaches and backwaters. 3)Is it better going through a travel agent so he takes all the headache? 4)there are n number of lagoons, resorts all claiming to be better than the rest...anyone experienced has suggestions...?? Dont get bothered if the questions are too many...we're just anxious to make this work ![]() |

Thank you all for your responses....
We are still trying to figure out the itiniery.Perhaps, only then can we start booking hotels! We have abt 7-10 days to spend in the end Jan-early February, We only got as far as 1) Fly into Cochin.Spend a night 2)Go to Allepey (not sure if we need to stay over) 3)Take a back water cruise to Kumarakom 4)Stay for 2-3 days at the coconut lagoon or Kumarakom lake resort(that's only if we can decide upon one!) and now we're stuck people are suggesting Munnar,Periyar etc.... we're hell confused...because I dont know in terms of orientaion and weather if these places should be roped into the same trip! Some even suggested..head to trivandrum and spend a few nites on one of Lakhswadeep uninhabited islands! Its a much awaited holiday(read honeymoon!)...so we dont want to make it too rushed at the same time , hope we will have plenty to see/do! All your suggestions are welcome! |

Kerala is the place where I had gone for my honeymoon.
My itinerary was as follows (For 20 days) Kovalam (2) - Backwater Resort (1) - House boat (1) - Thekkady (1) - Carmelia Heavan (2) - Munnar (3) - Kodai Kanal (5) - Rest day for train journeys. (Figures in brackets are no. of night stayed at that place). However for 10 days I would suggest House Boat (1) - Backwater resort (2 - 3) - Carmelia Heaven (try the tree house)(2) - Munnar (Balance days). Here are some links of resorts http://www.munnar.com/talltrees/ http://www.thesienavillage.com/ http://www.punnamada.com/ http://www.abadhotels.com/ http://www.tourkerala.org/carmeliaheaven-thekkady.htm Ronak.
