Honeymoon by August end to Kerla
Hi I am planning my Honeymoon by August end to Kerla... My interests are House boat, Tree house and Hill station... In my trip i want the last 2 or 3 day to be in Hill Station. Can you suggest a rough schedule of my plan. Please suggest me the places and places to stay and cost of it.. Is it possible to include Lakshadweep along with my trip... is Lakshadweep is good for honeymoon...

munnar is the only decent "hill station" in kerela.

Lakshadweep in August can be difficult due to the monsoon and rough seas. Resorts such as Bangaram and Khadmat are closed during this period.

Had been on Honeymoon last Dec to Kerala.
Wonderful place. Loved it every bit. Kerala primarily divided in two parts - North - If you want to do the Tree Houses. - South - If you want to do Houseboats, Hill stations. Actually selected south. Stayed at one of Floating cottage resorts. For us it was magical. Check out some sites for keralahoneymoons. Book my trip through one of them from US and everything was managed well above my expectations. Hope that helped. Quote:

Kavitha,
I am getting married by end of August in Kerala, and I really wanted to go to Bangaram/Kadamat, but it doesn't look its going to happen, I now thinking I might end up in one of the many resorts in Maldives instead..! |

Below is my rough schedule... let me know your comments.. Start Chennai to Alleppy by train or Chennai to Cochin by flight Day 1: Pickup from Alleppy railway station or Cochin Airport Boarding to House boat Day 2: Alleppy to Kumarakum - by House boat, night stay at kumarakum Day 3: Thekkady Day 4: Thekkady Day 5: Munnar Day 6: Munnar End: Munnar to Ernakulam and back to chennai regards Kavitha |
