HELP! Kerala Weather

Help! I am due to go to Kerala for two weeks tomorrow and on all of the weather forecast sites I look at it is thunderstorms every single day. My question is does this mean constant rain or the kind of thunder storms that happen and then clear to leave sunshine for the most part. I may completely change my trip based on this but dont want to really because I am so excited about going to Kerala. HEEELLLPP!

We are going to Kerala in 10 days time. Our expectations are that Kerala, for the whole of November, will be constant grey skies and showers.

This year Kerala has been exceptionally wet, and at the moment Kochi is getting around 30 mm of rain a day from the North West monsoon.

If you want clear skies and no rain you would have to wait till December.

That said, we wouldn't be going if we thought we would get drenched constantly.

It sure has been raining a lot out here in Kerala the last couple of weeks. However its been mostly at night, with days remaining sunny. There have been a few completely dry days in between too.So if your luck holds, the thunderstorms would be confined to the late night-early morning hours. The chances of monsoon type of showers that linger for days on end is pretty slim.
