Going to Kerala in March

Hello me and my boyfriend are going to Kerala on 13/3. we are landing in Mumbai and from there taking a flight to Kochi.
We are planning two and a hlaf weeks which is not much.
we would like to know which places are recomended and also places to sleap in.
we would like also to see some mountains and not only beaches.
Thanks a lot for your help

by the way it's not ging to be too hot right???

you didn't mention a budget so i am recommending top-end places:

munnar in the mountains (olive brook hotel)

varkala for beaches (villa jacaranda guesthouse)

fort cochin for a unique 'city' (old harbour hotel).

an overnight (or 2 or 3 nights - up to you) houseboat cruise on the backwaters - try to do kollam to kollam (including a magical place called monroe island).

what do you consider 'too hot'? it will be around 30-33c. cooler if it rains (and of course in the mountains).
