Ferry from lakshadweep to cochin
Ferry from lakshadweep to cochin
I am looking for info on the ferry from Agatti Island to Cochin. Does anyone know the cost, does it leave daily, what time does it leave and how long does it take?
I cannot afford to fly both ways!

Here's a good place to start looking.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think you have to book a (slightly expensive) package to visit the Lakshadweeps.

Ship tickets can be purchased here. Check out ship schedules and you need not have to take SPORTS package for that. Ships are owned and run by Lakshadweep Administration and SPORTS is their tourism department.
Check out ship schedules first to see which ship sails at your date from Agatti to Kochin, expect to spend around 24 hours in ship.

thanks guys
The booking site is only showing sailings for August. Not very clear on the site as to how you can do the booking-- I will play with the site on the weekend & see if I can get in.
I have emailed them directly asking about the 3day/2night weekend package to see if it is still being offered but have not yet had any replies. I will update this thread if I get any more info.

I am also looking forward to a trip to the islands around December, but bookings for that period seems not possible right at this moment. If you get to book the ticket through that site, please do update it over here. When do you plan to travel? Also, I would like to know, if prior bookings can be made for inter island travel, once there. Any information would be very helpful.
we will be in Cochin late October. Will only have a couple of days to spare so can only do a trip to the islands if they do short tours. I will most certainly update the site if I get any more info on trips-- even if it is only when we get back home mid November.
IM has given me so much info I feel that I must put back so thers can also plan their trips with more ease.

Is booking really possible Online through that site mentioned above? I can see the availability of berths etc. but I find no provision to purchase those available tickets Online.
Let me know if there is a working link anywhere for purchasing ship tickets online.

Love to see a Sikkim maniac in this thread

Mate, I too planning to visit the island during end of December.I spoke to SPORTS guys 3 times in a span of 2 months and even today morning they told ship schedules for December are not published yet and may have to wait for another week or so
I wanted to get my tickets confirmed at the earliest and relax!

Solo, I am completely confused with this, are you planning to take the trip individually or would avail the package of SPORTS? If it's package you are looking for, I am sure there is some disconnet, IM member I know has already booked it for 22nd Dec. I have spoken to them many times and probably going to take the one on 29th Jan and they have sent me all account details to transfer money too.Probably if you look to book just ship tickets and then want to do your trip independently (though that won't add much value in case of Lakashadweep) may be you have to wait for regular ship schedule for Dec to get published but all Sports package date till May-12 are finalized and started getting booked already.
Sikkim Maniacs .. ha ha .. are they the greatest maniacs in earth

Hey, my plan to is to book the complete tour package - Coral Reef. Have you/your friend booked the package through SPORTS or some other party? Can you please share their contacts? I already screwed my October plans for Sikkim and don't wanna get this screwed and wanna get the bookings done ASAP
Cheers

Coral Reef, I am not sure of but Samudram dates are announced and probably Coral Reef too here though still not there in Official website of SPORTS. But I have both phone call and email exchange with SPORTS for Samudram and they shared me their account details to transfer money. I am sending you a PM with contact details.

Hmm... I'll talk to them regarding Samudram package - though it starts from Kochi on 28th Dec, I was looking for the Coral Reef because it starts on Dec 24 and that's convenient for me. BTW - do you have any idea about those cabins? How many they accommodate in a cabin. Im looking for cabin for 2 if they have any. Similar Threads
