Since I posted that I was informed by the owner of where I stayed in Cochin that there is a bus from Fort Cochin to the airport that leaves at 8am arrives at 9:35am and costs about 70 rupees, so I'll be getting that. Sounds like it could be the one you are talking about

There are 10 busses per day from the airport to Fort Cochin. Here is the timetable on the website of Cochin Airport:

The service began in January. Seven new buses were bought but I heard two broke down within a few days! Maybe someone else knows aboutthis service

When you arrange Taxi please note you have to pay Rs.7.5/km both ways. This is Non AC . IF you are asking a hotel to pick you it involves the cost of parking and in case if the flight is delayed the waiting time . If it is a pick up at the night the cost will go up .

There is a website for the Prepaid taxi.

I have just come back from COK and the fare from the Airport
Domestic terminal to Fort Kochi was 696 Rupees.

Please note that this was from the domestic terminal. I am not certain about the rates from the international terminal but hope its the same.

There is a website where yo can check the rates

I checked my link again and it works if you left click it.

For some reason it does'nt work if you use the right mouse button and try to open in a new window.

So please try using your left mouse button and click directly on it.

Otherwise go to the main website

http://www.cochin-airport.in/

Go to the facilities and services

then go to the transportation section

then go to the pre paid taxi section

(the pre paid taxi icon is just near the bus information section
) and buried in the website!!

I find the pre-paid taxis much reasonable in comparison with the ones arranged by the hotels.

For instance, a prepaid taxi from airport to hotel costs Rs 470 where as the one arranged by the hotel travelling the same distance charged me last time around 600+.

You could try this one, flick them an email and confirm Price.

Otherwise there is Beenas Homestay in Fort Cochin.

Browse through these http://www.indiamike.com/india-hotel...in-hotels-c34/
