I for one wish our members would write MORE reviews about the hotels for the hotel listings section.

I've recently been researching hotels in cochin and other towns in the hotel section and many of the reviews are 2 years old. I want to read about recent experiences as I'm sure all our members do when trying to find a hotel.

I made this plea in another thread: if members have something good OR bad to say about where you stayed, PLEASE write about it in the hotel section. some members join to do research for one trip and never come back -- let's hear about where you stayed!

Cool it guys.

Recommmendations is part of what the site is about.

The only exception is that we do not allow them (negative or positive) as first posts from new members: we have no way to know if they are genuine.

If someone does something in the course of their business, and gets a cut --- that's life. No need for a big-deal audit every time. Accepting that some sort of commercial interest might be involved and might colour the recommendation --- it would be naive to expect otherwise.

Having said that, I'm sure many phone calls get made, recommendations given, help of all sorts give, without any cut involved. Just let's not treat it as a big sin if there is one.

Lets move on.

The Walton Homestay is an excellent choice for Cochin as well as Spencer house. Stayed in both, loved them both!
