| Car rental / Calicut to Wayanad We will go to Kerala in March, arriving in Calicut; from there, we want to visit Kannur and then head to Wayanad. Is a 4WD/Jeep necessary to visit the sights / parks in Wayanad ? How much is the approx. cost for a car with driver in Calicut ? Any recommeded companies ? | |

| Wayanad No need for a 4wheel drive to travel to Wayanad for entering the park you need a jeep ,but that will will be available at the park gates. If you can change the plan as Calicu6t to wayanad first and then to Kannur ,that will be more comfortable. It will better to ask any wayanad travel operators to arrange for a pick up from air port than renting a taxi from calicut,since they have expert drivers who are familiar with wayanad roads.. if your prime interest is wild life ,in wayanad you can search for western ghat resort , or Green Leaves habitat at sulthan bathery they have enough expertise in wayanad . have a nice wayanad trip | |
