Bus service in Ernakulam?

I am planning for a 3day trip to Ernakulam.

1st day--Athirapally waterfalls
2nd day--Allepey and Kumarakom
3rd day--Fort cochin and beach

I am coming with my friend and not willing to hire a Car as it would be more expensive for me. So, I am looking for Bus or Bike.

Could anyone please tell me about the bus facilities and the fare. Will it be worth hiring a bike to see these places. Which one would be good and work for me in Ernakulam.

you could , if you want , hire bikes at FortCochin. there are many shops that rent bikes

fortcochin and Athirappallay you can have a bike
but i dont think you need it for your trip of Alleppey and Kumarakom , if you are planning for boat cruise , everything is with in easy reach when you get down from Bus

There are bike rentals at Fort Kochi but most rent only to foreign tourists. If you are coming from bangalore you can alight at chalakudi visit Athirapilly then travel to Kochi.
