It hasn't been a waste of time as flights for family coming from the UK are too expensive to Sri Lanka. So it's back to plan A

Hope you enjoy Cherai Beach. There are many beach hotels but try and get one that provides sun loungers and umbrellas as there is very little shade on the beach. Sealine Hotel might be one to consider.
