Backwater trips from Kerala to Alleppey tomorrow...need a speedy response please...

Thinking of doing the backwater trip tomorrow. In Varkala at the moment. I've read it's only every 2nd day in low season which is now....is this correct? Does anybody know if this boat trip is on tomorrow and if so what time must I be there and where? Many thanks.

I think you mean the backwater trip from Kollam to Alleppey. I don't know about the frequency. We did it in February last year, the boat departs around 10.30 pm and arrives around 6 am.

If you mean the government ferry, it starts at 10:30 a.m. every day, takes 8 hours, and costs Rs 300

I've only realized now it is not a public ferry, which would mean it goes regularly. But the high price would have indicated that too. There is no info on which day of the week that other-day alternation starts. Could be the other day tomorrow, isn't it?
