any interesting places to see between Allepey to Munnar/Munnar to Cochin by road?

We are travelling from Allepey to Munnar by a car and then going from Munnar to Cochin.

Is there any interesting places between Allepey to Munnar and between Munnar to Cochin which we could include in our itinerary?

Well, the easiest way for you to go to Munnar from Alleppey is via Cochin , though you won't have to go to the downtown Cochin. But you can definitely go and visit Fort Cochin and Mattanchery on the way to Munnar from Alleppey, but that will take atleast 5-6 hours extra. But it is worth it.

About 80 km proximal to Munnar, you can take a small diversion from a place named Kothamangalam and after 12-15 kms you will be able to see the famous 'Bhoothathankettu Dam' (Dam built by Ghosts).

Your return trip from Munnar to Cochin is not much of a different route.

Yes, I realized it during my journey that the route is through Cochin. Saw ur post later so missed Bhoothathankettu.. but seems interesting thanks
