Advice on Kerala honeymoon from 30th Nov to 12th Dec

This is my itinerary for our honeymoon

:
Day 1: Arrive at Kochi and Proceed to Munnar for the night.
Day 2: After Breakfast Proceed for Full-day local sightseeing.
Day 3: After Breakfast Proceed for Full-day local sightseeing.
Day 4: After Breakfast Proceed for Full-day local sightseeing.
Day 5: After Breakfast proceed to Thekkady (110 kms) and do an evening Periyar lake cruise.
Day 6: After Breakfast Proceed for Full-day local sightseeing.
Day 7: After Breakfast proceed to Kumarakom/Alleppey (110/140 kms) settle in a backwater/ Lake Resort and relax for rest of the day.
Day 8: Morning do local sightseeing & rest of the time relax at the resort.
Day 9: After Breakfast check in to a Houseboat (Pickup from Backwater / Lake Resort). Cruise day long and overnight in the Cruise.
Day 10: After Breakfast Proceed to Kovalam (175 kms from Alleppey) Relax for rest of the day..
Day 11: After Breakfast do half day sightseeing to Kanyakumari. Relax for rest of the day.
Day 12: Morning do local sightseeing & rest of the time relax at the resort.
Day 13: After breakfast proceed to Cochin. Evening reach Cochin airport to take a flight back.

Please advice on drop adding places/days. My main objective is not to touch a lot of places but to have nice and quite time.

Hi cavebird,

Thats a pretty good Itinery, just a few things,

1) Hopefully the Boat rides in the Periyar Lake will be back operational by then after the recent Boating Accident,see thread
on this in Kerala Forum.You may find some usefull advice if you
are Deciding on going on Boat,ie; If you cannot swim, wear a Life jacket.

2) you say you are looking for Quiet time, I don't think Kovalam
will be that Quiet in Nov & Dec.For a Quiet Beach try Allepey
Beach whilst you are in the Backwater area.If you also have time
in Backwater area,try and do a 3hr Country Boat trip,They are
pretty good.

3) If you do go to Kovalam, are you not able to fly from Trivandrum back to home.If not you may be better advised to catch
train back to Cochin.
