Advice needed for our Kerala itinerary
my friends and I (there are four of us) are hoping to get to Kerala from Delhi on the 16th/17th October. We then need to be up in Mumbai on the 22md/23rd.
How can we do this as quickly and as cheaply as possiple? We are not keen on any train journeys longer than 16hours and our budget for travel is approx 100 pounds. We are happy to fly anywhere if it means catching a train from there to Kerala itself. Also, is it worth even trying this? Can we justify going for just 6 days? and, is Goa a good alternative? Any advice would be well received... Mod Note: Your identical posts have been deleted and your thread title has been modified. Last edited by theyyamdancer : Sep 25th, 2009 at 18:26. |

First advice: multiple posting is spam; please don't do it.
Second advice: "Help!" generally means some kind of emergency; your travel plans are not an emergency. Third advice: A thread title that indicates something about the question will tend to attract people with answers. Fourth advice: Don't take any of this personally You're welcome to the site --- just a case of seeing how things work! |

Hi there,
Kerala is a long way to go for a few days, even if you fly. My suggestion is Goa & maybe Hampi. Have heard there's a good O'Night train(Rajhdani Express)from Delhi to Mumbai. From Mumbai you could head for Hampi(Train) and then go onto Goa and then back to Mumbai by Train or Plane. vandy ![]() |

Forget Kerala due 1)its more than 16 hrs in train 2)Flight+stay might be bit tricky to fit under 100 pounds
Better spend same amount to visit Taj/Agra or Jaipur or Amirthsar or hills stations in P or HP |
