Advice for Kerala trip on 9th to 19th of Jan?

Hi!

I need advice for our travel initiary in Kerala. I`m flying with my wife and with another couple. The flight is departing at noon at Trivandrum airport on 9th of January. We`re leaving back to Delhi on 19th of January, afternoon flight from Cochin.

We`re thinking that first we`d stay 2-3 nights somewhere around Trivandrum-Kovalam-Varkala –area. Then we`re would like to take a train to Kollam for a one day houseboat trip for Alleppey.

Then there would be 2-3 nights in Thekkady-Munnar –area. We`d love to see animals and tea, is 3 days enough for this? Should we concentrate on either Thekkady or Munnar? Any suggestions?

The rest of our staying 2-3 nights we`re thinking Cherai Beach or Marari Beach are, or maybe visiting Cochin on the way back to Delhi.

Does this plan seem reasonable? Any suggestions on what order these places should be visited? Any other places to add on our 10 day holiday in Kerala!
