Hi!
I am doing an internship in Bangalore and as next Friday is Holiday, I'd like to go to some beaches. Where could I go from Bangalore, by train in preference? I would leave on Friday and come back on Sunday... |

I am sure you will get good advice/suggestions from IMmers.
IMO, there are 3 general directions from Bangalore by overnight train (dep Thursday night) that would would work for you: 1. To Kerala beaches - Ernakulum area 2. In Karnataka - Mangalore 3. To Goa I like to use www.indiarailinfo.com to get train information. Do let us know any other specific questions. Nattusbs |

Chennai / Pondicherry would be another overnight option.

Looks like heading to the east coast will be good option, at least the weather forecast for Pondicherry says bright and sunny whereas for Goa it's just the late monsoons.
