Udupi

Hi, we are traveling in March/April the route Goa/Gokarna/Hampi. We have heard that it could be a good choice to travel to Udupi too? Is it worth to go there? Thanky for answers in forward! Greetings from Frankfurt/Germany.

Udipi is certainly worth a visit! There is a eremony at night at the Krishna temple and a huge chariot is pulled around the streets. Not sure if this is every night but we have been on 4 occasions and have seen it each time.

You have a direct bus from Hospet near Hampi to Udupi. Ganesh Travels operates a Sleeper bus in this route.

Its worth a visit. You can also visit Kollur which is also near by and also Karkala Gometeshwara statue.

And Dont miss Mangalore. Its just 1.30 hours from Udupi.

If you have 4/ 5 days you can visit a lot of places around Udupi which are worth seeing.
