We're planning to travel from udupi to
- Agumbe,Sringeri(learned that these two are in one route) on 1st day...
- Murudeshwara, Jog falls on 2nd day...
- Dharmasthala on 3rd day...
Pls suggest me for minimal shortest routes and stay options in Agumbe, as I came to know that there are few hotels there to stay...
Iternary suggested:
Day 01: Udupi --> Murudeshwara --> Honnavara --> Jog falls --> Sagar (Shimoga) . Halt at Sagara. There is a good lodge available at Sagar (Check internet).
Day 02: Sagar --> Thirthhalli --> Agumbe --> Sringeri . Halt at Sringeri.
Day 03: Sringeri --> Dharmasthala --> Udupi.

Day 1: Udupi - Kumbashi - Maravanthe - Murdeshwara - Jog Falls (Halt)
Day 2: Jog Falls - Sagara - Agumbe - Sringeri (Halt)
There are very small and limited hotels in Agumbe, hence the best option is to stay in Sringeri where there are many good hotels.
Day 3: Sringeri - Horandau - Kottighehara - Charmadi - Ujire - Dharmastala - Mudabidri - Karkala - Udupi
Or:
Day 3: Sringeri - Karkala - Mudabidri - Dharmastala - Belthangady - Naravi - Karkala - Udupi
Or
Day 3: Sringeri - Bajagoli - Naravi - Dharmastala - Mudabidri - Kateel - Mulki - Udupi

Dear IMers,
I plan to take my Family on a 3-day Kshethralanam (Pilgrimage Tour) in October.
The tour Itinerary is as follows (Tailor made by Our beloved Velu himself, while I have added one/two places).
We start and end at Udupi.
Mode of Transport: Cab.
Day 1: Udupi - Agumbe - Horanadu - Shringeri (Overnight Halt at Shringeri)
Day 2: Shringeri - Mookambika Temple - Maravanthe Beach (Overnight Stay at Murudeshwara)
Day 3: Murudeshwara - Gokarna - Jog Falls - Udupi (Reach Udupi late in the Evening)
I've got 2 Queries:
1. Does any part of the trip sound over-stretched (Esp 3rd day, while I have deviated a bit from Veluji's plan)
2. Please suggest me accommodation at Shringeri and Murudeshwara (My budget is INR 1000-1500 per double bed-room..
Thank you very much!

@Prasanna,
Nice Plan.
Day1:-
Include "Kalasa" which is 5 kms from Horanadu. Very Famous temple.
Day 3:-
If you feel over-stretched , Leave Gokarna. Going UP from Murdeshwara to Gokarna and then all the way coming back to Jog Falls might be bit tiring.
Accomodation :-
Murdeshwara --> Only Best option is RNS . Non A/C double room (Very big with TV just on ocean) costs 700 Rs/Night. If you are ok with Non A/c , ask for Room:no:205.Nice Views. A/C double room costs 2000 rs/Night. Again Super View. Decide either one and stay and both have excellent ocean views. Try out the "Lift" to gopuram top in Murdeshwara .
Shringeri--> Only best option is Devasthanam cottages. You need to adjust a bit here as I dont think they have deluxe rooms.Just avoid private lodges.. It's not worth at all. We stayed for 200 Rs/Night in ok-ok type devasthanam room. Get Lot of "Puffed Rice/Pori/Biscuits". You can feed them to the BIGGGG fishes in shringeri tank between 5-6:30 and you wont forget the sight.. As historically Fishing is banned here, Mega fishes just casually come and collect it (Almost) from your hands. Walk over the bridge and walk for 700 metrea and you will see the meditation hall and Shringeri Mutt chief residence etc.
shringeri is best observed between 4 pm to 7 pm..Sunset also will be very nice over here.
Gokarna:-
If you are going to make it here, please be aware, here you can perform abishekham to Shivalinga on your own and priests fix rate based on people...
P.S:- Few photos which we took in Shringeri down below.
Have a Fantastic Journey ahead

Awesome pics and thank you very much for the information and insight!!
We got in touch with Sringeri Mutt for accommodation, I got a reply they do no option of reserving in advance. But there was assurance that there would be no hassles on providing accommodation on arrival.
Will need to take a tough call between Jog falls/gokarna...
Once again, thank you very much Veluji!

@Prasanna, It's been really a long time since I traveled to all the places you have mentioned in your itinerary. pmvelu's suggestion is perfect, I felt.
Just an observation - if you are by any chance using/driving thru 'Shiradi ghats', be prepared for a bumpy ride!! I don't think it ever was or will be a good road. pmvelu would be better person to update you about the road conditions there. It would also be better know beforehand if the waterfalls at Jog is in it's full strength. Driving all the way up to that place and finding water trickle down lazily would not be fun. But this would be the proper season to visit jog, I feel.
If you have some time on hand and interested in visiting some tiger and lion Safari, you can visit 'Tavarekoppa Tiger and Lion Safari'. I am not sure how good it is, but one of my relative visited the place recently and felt it was decent.
Happy travels

. @Naveena, Thank you very much for the information.. Will check them out.
Not sure if we are to travel via Shiradi Ghats, will check with the driver and avoid that if possible.
Again, thanks!
