Trip to Bidar

The opening line of LP states: No one goes to Bidar and it's not clear why? Can somebody answer it for me?

On a more serious note... it would be great if there are any places I am not supposed to miss in Bidar. I am planning the trip in Feb.

Bidar is all about the fort, nothing of any significance other than that- well worth it

The fort.

The Sikh gurudwara.. "The Amritsar of the South"

I found the place nice and peaceful.

Bidri work .. interesting to see the craftsmen at work on this.
originally comes from Bidar, though AP is now a prominent centre for this too.

nothing else, really, but the last I visited was four or five years ago

Except that during prohibition in Andhra Pradesh it was a favourite place for some Hyderabadis to go get drunk
(its about 130km away and close to the border)

I was there around 6 months back or so. The fort is the main attraction ( in fact that is the only place i could cover since I didnt have much time. ).

Here are some snaps of the Bidar fort..
