trip to Bangalore, Mysore, coorg, ooty

hello india mike. i'm madhumitha from hyd. we've planned for a week's trip to the above places as follows:

20 dec:reach b'lore. city tour starting at 14:00; return at 19:00
move to mysore

21 dec:mysor local sight seeing

22 dec:move to coorg
23 dec:in coorg

24 dec:move to OOty(planning to book accomodation in coonoor)
25 dec:
26:dec in ooty
27dec: back to b'lore

i have few queries.

1:how can i book for accomodation online in Hotel mayura(in any of the places). am a bit ambiguous regarding the accomodations in all these places.pls suggest me some economical hotels.(we're a married couple travelling)

2:from where can i book tickets for the toy train earliest after reaching b'lor?(first class tkts in those days not available)

3:is it a good decision to stay in coonoor?

pls help with ur better suggestions AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

since you're going to coonoor from mysore - i'd suggest you catch the toy train from ooty down to mettapalyam {spelling ?].
you can then take a bus/train back to bangalore from there.

dont really know if spending 2 whole days in coonoor is really worth it - if you're making your way upto ooty after that.
rather - spend an extra day in mysore... srirangapatnam, bird sactuary etc - check out this thread and the karnataka forum.

reference for stay in ooty - the ywca guest house - sprawling acreage of bungalows, gardens, homestay hospitality...
will be a tad tough to get bookings now though - but you can always call and try.

If it's not too late, My suggestion is :-

Just Skip Bangalore City sightseeing and Coorg as 2 days in ooty and 2 days in Coorg will be too Rushing And considering the distance between places..

Try to Stay in Hotel Mayura Sudharshana in ooty [KArnatak government hotel].. Fantastic, Secluded and just in this campus itself Karnataka Horticulture Garden is there and from this place the views are mesmerizing and Beautiful !.. 880 for Double bed room [ You could book this in any of the KArnataka tourism offices- Online not possible now]--> Be Aware, it's 2 kms away from ooty lake and anytime you would like to go to ooty , you need to tell the reception so that they will get an auto as Public transport option is NOT available..

Or else try to book online www.ttdconline.com [Tamilnadu tourism hotel] .. Economical and just in the Centre of city but calm and nice .

Coonoor is also ok.

Toy train booking now, might be very difficult to get and just you could try in www.irctc.co.in for online booking.
