Travel Options : Goa to Karwar and beyond

Hi Ppl,

I am off to Karwar early next month and will be landing at Goa's Dabolim airport early morning. Need help on some specifics:
1. Are taxis (pre-paid or otherwise) available from the airport to drop at Karwar and what would the approx. charges be?

2. If I were to take a bus to Karwar, where do I get them from? The airport, Panaji or Margao? Also, if someone is aware of udated bus schedules, what are the timings?

to take a train trains are available at margaon railway station..
netravati express and matsyagandha exp.. and a few more trains are there

Yup, i have been to Karwar, but i went from Bangalore.

If u land at Goa, the travel distance is about 100 kms to the south, and in the Ghat roads, it can take about 3 hrs or so.

You can get a Sumo or any other SUV for Rs. 1200 to Rs. 1500.

Devbagh beach resort is the best resort there....Great outdoors is also a good place.

Hey Aztec, did you do any day trips from Karwar? Any idea if it is possible to do Jog Falls in a day trip?
