Transportation Coimbatore/Metupalayam to Coorg

Hi,
I have booked Orange County, Coorg Resort for honeymoon.

I have to travel from Coimbatore/Metupalayam to Coorg (again 35Km from Madikeri to Orange county).

Please guide me if there is any buses or any other source to travel there.

hi,

bus is bour for honey moon trip. take a cab or your own car.

you need not reach madikeri for orange county resort.after kushalnagar you must need to divert on virajpet road.dont go to madikeri.

mettupalayam-satyamangalam-aasanur-chamrajnagar-bypass road to madikeri before mysore(before around 10kms)-kushalnagar-nisargadama-virajpet-orange county resort.

orange county is very best for honey moon trip.i visited there for just walk around for photography and shopping .they allowed me without a hard enquiry.cottages seems very fine.

Already suresh gave complete information. I just thought of adding few more info.

If you want to do it in Bus, Catch Mysore bus from Coimbatore [ 5 hours].
From Mysore, catch a bus to Virajpet [ You have buses atleast once in 1 1/2 hours. You could board Kannur , Virajpet , Polibetta Buses] and from there you could catch a Cab to Orange County.

If you are ok for Hiring a Cab, the followinig info might help.
From Mysore, catch a Cab and you could reach the Orange county resort via HD Kote -Kabini Dam [ Kabini Dam is 45 kms from Mysore through excellent Highway and from KAbini , Orange county is JUST 18 kms only] and this is the shortest route. You could send this route to Orange County and check as I saw the Signboard in Kabini dam and even in their website , they are NOT quoting this route .Not sure why .

Compared to the above route, Kushalnagara route Or Virajpet Route is atleast 30 kms more !. And for reaching Virajpet from mysore, you could go via Hunsur and Gonikoppal and no need to go to Kushal Nagara as such !

And no need to goto Madikeri as such to reach orange county !
