service Apartments in Bangalore

Hello,

I have heard of service apartments in Bangalore which are very convenient. we need two rooms or two big beds cause we have two kids...what do you think of it?

www.chaletindia.com? is that good? do u know of any others????

we are going to be in Bangalore in Jan 2008 for couple days (Jan 13-Jan 15) and then plan on going to Mysore by car. should we get these arrangements done when we do get to India in Dec? we leave on Dec 26th.

please advice..

If you have travelled to Bangalore you will be familier with service apartments.they are awesome i heard. you can get up to 3 bedrooms, all furnished and with a cook (you have to pay him or her to cook meals)

My husbands coworker stays in Melrose serviced apartments while he is here and he loves them. You can find more information about them here:

Halcyon condos

I stay in the Halcyon when on business in Bangalore and find it great. It's in a quiet residential area, so you can wander around and see a bit of life. And only about 10 mins from the airport, which I find handy. Not sure if you could get a cook there - they have their own restaurant on site.

Due to the shortage of hotel rooms in bangalore, many apartments have been converted by owners into "service apts". while mostr of them are designed for long term stay, some do offer daily rates.I would strongly advise that you select one only after you receive a recommendation from someone you trust.

Never a week

I'm guessing you've looked at the website and it says something about 'by the week'. I've never stayed that long - shortest stay has been 1 night and longest 4 nights, and it has never been queried.
