national parks??

has anyone been to any of the national parks in Karnataka, or the surrounding areas? (Tamil Nadu or Kerala..)

would love to hear what you thought, and what you recommend!

The undergrowth will be thick at this time of the year, but the animals will have their winter coats. (Difficult to see, but worth seeing when seen).

You have several options in Karnataka and a few in Tamil Nadu. Sighting game should be all right, even though after the monsoon there is plenty of water and animals will be dispersed all over the Nilgiris Biosphere Reserve.

You will definitely see plenty of migrants at Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary (10 kms from Mysore) and plenty of bears at Daroji Bear Sanctuary (15 kms from Hospet/Hampi).

if you go to Nagarhole, say hi to the baby elephants "Hyderabad" and "Mysore" for me. Am wondering how big they are now that they are yearlings!

bannerughatta national park in bangalore is decent, you get a tiger safari as well as a lion safari...Nagarhole is another good place(border of karnataka and tamilnadu)...
