Mysore Chikmagalur Kemmangundi Chitradurga
Hello,
Can anyone tell me if this itinary is possible: Day one: Mysore, Sravanabelagola, Halebid, Belur, Chikmagalur. Isn't it too much? Any cheap and nice (less than 1000Rps/double room) accomodation in Chikmagalur? Day two: Chikmagalur, Kemmangundi, Chitradurga. What can we do in one day? Hebbe Falls, Z-point? We will be with 4 children and are not very sport oriented!!! Day three: Chitradurga, Hampi. We could also stop at Belur first night, Kemmangundi second night and Hampi third night... Thank you for any help and information. |

One complete day is required for Mysore for you to see all the prominent places there. You can cover Mysore and Srirangapatanam on day one.
Day two, you can visit Sravanabelagola, Belur & Halebidu and stay at Chikmagalur overnight and then go to Kemmangundi the next day. Hampi is near Bellary and its not on the way to any of these places. You probably need to travel overnight by bus there or probably see first go to Hampi from Bangalore and then go to Mysore from there. Othere members in this group might be able to help you in plan the itenary much better. Cheers! |

Thank's
I will have spent 3 days in Mysore before starting this journey. So you think seeing Sravanabelagola, Belur, Halebidu and Chikmagalur in one day is possible? It seems a good news. We will travel with car + driver (more easy with children), so I do not depend on buses and train this time. I forgot to ask on my previous post but if anybody knows a hotel (same less than 1000 Rps for a double bed room, clean and without any small animals) in Chitradurga, I'll be very intersted as well. On mapmyindia they indicate me around 3 hours from Chikmagalur to Chitradurga via Tarikere. Shall I trust them? Thank's again. |

It is possible to go to chitradurga via tarikere. but it might more than 3 hours.keeping buffer is a better. Maruthi inn ,M.H.Road is decent one. there are other too near sante bagilu. prices would be around 650-700 for ac ones. that the last time i had been there. Kemmangundi roads are not good at all. more of offroad types. pS:/ your plan is a little tight to pull off but still can be possible |
