madikeri in january?

Hi,

Is it too cold to go to Madikiri in januari?
What w'll the temperature be.

hi...
it is never too cold in madikeri - just pleasant. coldness is a relative term - depends where u r coming from really.
the best time to be there is jan-end thru to feb though when the air is full of the coffee aroma - thatz the time one of the crops variety is harvested. the other variety is harvested in march beginning, which is when i visited the place three months back. do visit kakkabe for sure.

december to may is the best time to visit madikeri. January is the best month coz the whole of coorg will be fresh with greenery all over coz of the after effects of pouring rains..The weather wil be chilling, there there wil be mist n fog in the mornings till 10 n againfrom evenin 4 to 5.. It's really a good time to visit Coorg in Jan...

i would say that the best time to vist madikeri would be january. As said in the previous post it is cold and misty during that time of year. I had been to madikeri just recently.
But i felt there is nothin much to see in madikeri. There are some good places around madikeri like irpu falls, the tibetian settlement in kushalnagar, the dubari forest.
Last time i enjoyed more because i stayed in a resort in kushanagar which is around 40 kms from madikeri.
