Madikeri - been there?

Has anyone been to Madikeri? Has anyone stayed at the Rainforest Retreat?

Any ideas on transport options/routes from Mysore to Madikeri, and then Madikeri to Bangalore?

Mysore to Madikeri -Regular Buses ply on this route. You can also hire a cab. The distance is 130 Kms.

Madikeri - Bangalore- Shortest Route is coming back to Mysore and then Bangalore.

No clue about the Retreat.

usually buses go via mysore to bangalore.. if u take a pvt cab then u can avoid visiting mysore while getting back to bangalore..
There is a bypass road somewhere near Hunsur it's called the Ilvaala bypass.. it'l save around 30-45 mins of your journey to bangalore from madikeri..

Madikeri can be reached from Mysore by bus or by private cab..driven there many times and its a nice stretch .

On their website they say they'll pick you up from Mysore
