last minute trip .. any tips?

i will be traveling from Trivandrum to Pune this nov 3rd to nov 14th. never been to the south.

i have read lots on this site and have some ideas.

i wanna travel inexpensively. i'm hardy.

anyone care to tell me how he/she would do it?

i love non-touristy areas, but wanna see some highlights.

i like quiet, beautiful nature.
