Help required, Coorg itinerary

My last trip got cancelled and this time we have planned for Mysore/Coorg 6 nights. 2 nights we would be spending in Mysore and 4 nights in coorg. This time we have made the plan to be a bit relaxed and that why we chose 4 days in Coorg.
I heard that we can take two wheelers on rent in Coorg? If yes, it would be the best thing for us. Can someone please give details regarding the same?
Also our budget is around 2000 per night, so can someone please tell us some good hotels/homestay in our budget?

Hi Shruti,
We are headed to coorg as well (hopefully for sure this time around!)
I spoke to someone called Rajesh yesterday from this site coorginn.com (I just google-searched 2 wheeler rentals in coorg ,madikeri) and this linked popped up. This gentleman recommended cars but I insisted on bike rentals and they do provide bikes for about 600 a day and a 1000/- deposit. He asked me to call again for exact cost and details but when I called later there was no response. You can try speaking to him and post if there is a good deal
Also, it will be great to know if someone here can suggest bicycle rentals in coorg.

Hey Shruti,

Not sure on the bike hire part but you could try staying in http://palaceestate.co.in/, it is in the foothills of Tadiyandamol, Karnataka's second highest peak. The hosts are warm and the location alone is worth.

have a great time.

Check honeyvalley .... near kakkabe, set within 56 hectares of their own plantations and forest area ... lots of hikes nearby ... call the chengappas if the price isnt right and they may consider.

They are booked, though they gave details about Chingaara. Is it a good place?
Any other suggestion?

Please someone help me with details of bike hiring......

Actually we have planned 4 day in Coorg, a kind of leisure trip. So for the first 2 days, we have already booked one hotel and we plan to roam in around coorg in these 2 days. The last 2 days, we are planning for some homestay so that we can really enjoy the beauty of coorg nature. So a homesaty which may be a bit far from the main area will do. The only thing is that it should be safe and within our budget.

Few years back stayed at a very nice home stay. Not sure if they still take guests. It was not a commercial home stay back in 2008/09 and was reasonably priced.

Hello,
We had booked Naladi homestay when we went to Coorg this Feb. It was a good experience. They have a coffee plantation which is beautiful. Also, this place is located a little inside, but absolutely safe, which was great. You can also inquire about adventure sports nearby if interested.

Link to their website http://www.coorgnaladiholidays.com/photogallery.html

(they are on the list for Mahindra homestay, but we contacted them directly).

Hope this helps.
