Help - Mangalore

Hello,

I am currently working in Chennai on a graduate intership programme with a small indian company.

I have a distant relative who worked in Calicut and Managlore in the 1930s and 40s as an Engineer. He died in Mangalore in 1944 and is buried within the 'English Cemetery' in Mangalore itself.

Nobody from my family has ever had the chance to come over to visit the grave site, so as i am here it would mean a lot to my family if i was able to track his grave down.

I was wondering if anybody would be able to give me an idea of where in Mangalore this 'English Cemetery' could be found so that i can pay a visit next week when i'm passing through.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hmmm... English Cemetery would be tough to answer. I do not remember the city well anymore, but the Cemeteries there are always associated with the churches. So, you may have to tell which Church rather than a plain English Cemetery. My school Church too had a cemetery behind it. I guess that was one of the oldest. Could that be the one? No idea
