Hampi/Hospet Guide

I am looking for a guide for Hampi and when I go online to find a travel local agency (and that goes for most cities) all I get is the large agencies that do the mostly package tours. I am looking for a day tour.
any suggestions? i want a guide for at least the first day.

Hi,

In my opinion the best and cheaper way to have a guide in Hampi is to contract once you are there. In Hampi Bazaar (main street in Hampi) near the Virupaksha temple, you can find small travel agencies, they will arrange it for you. Probably, even before the entrance, in the parking several guides will contact you, just choose the one you prefer. Hampi is a very extended place, and you'll need an autorickshaw or better a motorcycle to move all around.

In Hospet at the best hotel (in LP) I obtained a guide from the travel agency operation that was by far the best I have had In India. BA Economics, had to be great..
