We have just visited South India and Beach suggested strongly that we visit Hampi. I am grateful that we took that advice - I just wish I had allowed more time - as he also advised. It is a truly impressive place and it is also very beautiful. Being situated near a small town it is not as spoilt as so much of India is now, by ghastly traffic. It is a great place to relax and allow your mind to absorb what is around you - the history and the present
