Gokarna
I was thinking of flying into Chennai and then making my way to Gokarna, to chill out for a few weeks before taking on india. As I prefer not to fly in Mumbai. Is there any where good and not so isolated I should stop at between Chennai and Gokarna - to break the trip up? Leaving in Feb 09. Also, anyone know a good site where i can check out what the weather is like in different states and times in india? thanks

You could stop in Mysore, an easygoing Indian town. Most people like it alot.
