From Hubli to Hampi
Hi. I'm travelling from Mumbai to Hampi. To save time I intend to take a flight to Hubli and then travel overland to Hampi. I know there's a train between Hubli and Hospet at 17.00 each day but as my flight arrives in Hubli much earlier than that want to look for other options too. So (i) how frequent are the buses between Hubli and Hospet / Hampi and how long do they take ? (ii) does anyone know whether it's possible to arrange a car and driver to meet me at Hubli airport and take me all the way to Hampi ? and if so, any suggestions for agents etc ?
Thanks in advance, Paul |

Hi. There will definitely be buses between Hubli & Hospet but comfortable ones (luxury) will be few and you may have to go to town/bus stand. You can bet on taxi service at the airport to take you directly to Hampi or leave you at some taxi operator in town. I have done this road journey recently and it is bumpy with roads deteriorating near Hospet.
