Travel from Chennai to mysore by Mysore Express (DEp at Chennai at 21:30 arrival at mysore at 8:00 a.m.). Then travel further to Madikeri hired vehicle (Tempo traveller / mini bus).
Enroute to Coorg (Madikeri), you can visit Golden temple (Tibetian Settlement), Nisargadhama, Harangi Dam, Nagarhole National Park, Iruppu falls, Dubare Elephant Camp.
In Madikeri, You can visit Raja Seat, Abbey falls, Talakaveri, Bhagamandala, Viraj pete etc....

Iternary:
Day1: Depart from Mysore. Mysore- Hunsur-Nagarhole National Park- Iruppu falls - Virajpete - Bhagamandala - Talakaveri- Madikeri. Halt at Madikeri Town. You should be there at Nagarhole national park before 9 a.m. (for Safari).

Day2: Madikeri sight seeing. Raja seat, Abbey falls -> Dubare elephant camp -> Nisargadhama -> Golden temple ->Hunsur -> Mysore .

TalaCauvery - 7 km from Bhagamandala, the origin of the holy river Cauvery is situated at 44 km from Madikeri.
Raja's seat - This is the spot from where the kings watched the sunsets with their consorts and is the most scenic sport in South India. It offers breathtaking view of towering hills, green valleys, studded with paddy fields.
Dubare is an elephant capturing and training camp of the Forest Department of Coorg. Dubare is located in between Kushalnagar and Siddapur on the banks of river Kaveri. The wild elephants are tamed and trained with the help of other tamed elephants and local tribals. This is mainly an elephant capturing and training camp of the Forest Department, at the edge of Dubare forest, on the bank of river Kaveri. The best time in the day to visit is 7 am or 7 pm when the tamed elephants come for bath. Lucky visitors can get a chance to ride elephants. It is a good picnic spot.
