Coorg for weekend
Three of my friends are planning to go to Coorg(from Bangalore) for this weekend(just to chillout)
Can anyone please let me know if it's a good idea considering that it's summertime here ? It would be really helpful if someone can suggest ideal places in Coorg and if it is better to chance a homestay or go safe and get the trip done through a travel agent ![]() |

april is not the right time for coorg. though i love coorg in every season, lot of package tour kind of guys don't like it in summer months.
if you are going, go to siddha pur side. honey valley estate is a good choice. rudy can tell you more. if you have money go to kabini river lodge. jungle will be dry and very few water sources. good time to see wild life. |

I was there in winter, but I think that the Coorg should be cooller than some other places right now, so might as well go escape the heat - or at least travel to a slightly less hot locale. Please tell me if I am way off with my predictions.

It will be a darn site cooler than Bangalore, that's for sure. The temperature seldom tops 30 C at any time of year, and the main seasons are the wet and dry. The rains usually don't settle in until June so you might be alright. You can check the weather here: http://weather.cnn.com/weather/forec...p?locCode=VI66
