Welcome to IM
From Coimbatore, 1. Drive towards Sathiamangalam (NH-209) (Road Excellent) 2. Continue in NH-209 towards Bannari (Road Excellent) 3. Just after the Famous Bannari Amman Temple, Ghat road Starts (11 Hair pin bends - Steep road - 12 kms (Road Excellent) 4.You will Reach Asanur (KA) 5.Drive Straight and you will pass through Chamarajanagara (Local name Nagara) and Nanjangudu - Road is Average to Below Average Or even you could call poor 6. From the temple town of Nanjanagudu , Take right and drive towards Mysore (Road is Excellent) except in 1 or 2 places for 100 metres 7. Just Before Mysore (10 kms before Mysore), You will see a BIG signboard <--------------------------------- Madikeri Bangalore Hunsur KRS 8. Take this Left , Drive Straight and this is called as Ring Road .Just follow the signboards 9.You will pass thru many a Intersections and just follow the signboard 10.You need to take the Left @ Hinkal Junction (Again a Big signboard will be there) and move towards Hunsur (This is Mysore - Mangalore Highway) - Road is Excellent 11.You will drive past Elivala,Hunsur,Piriyapatna(For Around 2 km road will be poor), Koppa (In case you would like to visit Tibetan Monastery take left here) OR else continue straight and Kushal nagara is Just 5 kms from Koppa. (Road is Excellent all thruough) and a Month back they are working on Koppa-Kushal nagara Patch apart from that this entire stretch is too good Hope this helps . |

COimbatore to mysore, it's around 190 kms and Mysore to Kushal nagara it's 85 kms and you will save around 15 kms (Overall) if you take the Ring road as suggested.
Have a Nice Journey ! |
