British War memorial in karwar

Hi,

I'am trying to locate a British war memorial sumwhere in uttra kannada dist. i saw a article in a newspaper a few years ago, would like to locate it before it is demolished by development.. if anyone knows the location, please let me know, it supposed to be on a hill near the town or sea.

Thanks for the info crvlvr, however the pic of the memorial i saw in the newspaper was a single column on top of a hill.. know of it??
