bangalore to nagarhole to madikeri(coorg)

I am planning to drive to Nagarhole national park this weekend from Bangalore. Is it possible to do the evening safari there and reach madikeri the same evening?

If you are comfortable in Hill Driving in Nights, this is possible.

If you attempt for evening safari in the first trip (It starts precisely @ 3pm), you will be able to complete it by 4.30 pm . Also FYI, there is only one Swaraj Mazda Vehicle with the Forest dept for safaris in Nagarhole NP and if it's full, you need to wait for the vehicle to return for the next safari. From Nagarhole , Madikeri is around 86 kms.

Thanks for the tips, I went to nagarhole and then to coorg. But unfortunately was late to nagarhole, and missed the 3pm safari. I had a flat tyre on way to Irpu. But drove thru the park and shot some spotted dears from my digicam. Was a good experience altogether.

Nice to know that you enjoyed your coorg trip (Except the Flat tyre) and in Nagarhole, Just the drive within the forests on our own is the main attraction rather than the safari ... Nothing much is missed as such
